Advice: QRIScomputeHA Storage Issues 2019-03-17 04:00 - 2019-03-18 09:00

Follow

The QRIScomputeHA storage cluster, which is used to host QRIScomputeHA instance root and ephemeral drives has suffered a disk failure on Sunday morning from which it did not automatically recover. As a result, instances with moderate to high root drive activity during the time period in question may have corrupted filesystems. Users are advised to backup their instance by creating an instance snapshot, then run a filesystem check on the root disk, while in rescue mode (See https://support.ehelp.edu.au/support/solutions/articles/6000194010-recovery-options-when-you-cannot-access-your-instance, section: "OPENSTACK RESCUE MODE", instead of running the `sudo mount /dev/vdb1 /mnt` command, run `fsck /dev/vdb1`)
