On Friday, a vendor technician will be performing essential hardware maintenance on QRIScloud NeCTAR compute node CN38 starting at about 12 noon. On the advice of the technician, we have set a window of 2 hours for the work, though it can probably be completed more quickly.
An email will shortly be sent to the tenant managers and members for instances that will be affected by this outage.
All NeCTAR instances running on the CN38 will shut down at the start of the outage window, and restarted once the work has been done. We don't anticipate any problems, but it would be advisable to ensure that your backups are up to date.
