Network connections to various services in Polaris are unreliable at the moment. The cause is being investigated.
UPDATE - 2016-10-17 10:10 - This outage is affecting users of Euramoo, Tinaroo and Flashlite.
- For Euramoo, the workaround is to try to connect again. This system appears to be working normally once you have logged into it.
- For Tinaroo and Flashlite, the outage is disrupting file system access which is making the systems unusable.
UPDATE - 2016-10-17 11:40 - The network problem has been resolved. Apparently, there are still some stale NFS file handles to be resolved on Tinaroo and Flashlite. This is being dealt with.
UPDATE - 2016-10-17 13:00 - The Tinaroo and Flashlite file systems are still offline. The problem has been escalated to the vendor.
UPDATE - 2016-10-18 09:30 - The Tinaroo and Flashlite file systems are now operational. The original problem was caused by a recurrence of a switch issue (which is being investigated by the vendor). This apparently triggered problems with the Flashlite / Tinaroo shared file systems.
