On Monday 30th May, QCIF is making improvements to Polaris internal data centre network. These changes will improve network access throughput for QRIScloud and FlashLite users of research data and compute services hosted in the Polaris data centre.
While these changes are in progress, users and external systems accessing QRIScloud and FlashLite services at Polaris will experience a temporary loss of connectivity. Internal connectivity between compute and data services should not be interrupted.
We are allowing a two hour window for these changes but anticipate the loss of connectivity for external users will be 10 - 20 minutes. QRIScloud Support will advise when services are restored.

UPDATE - 2016-05-31 - 09:00. The network change went smoothly. External access was interrupted for between 2 and 4 minutes.
