We have become aware that there were problems in the NeCTAR Research Cloud last weekend that caused various OpenStack APIs to stop working. This led to user-visible problems in Dashboard functions for people who were working over the weekend. There were problems with instance launching and termination, and with volume attachment.
The problems were noticed by the NeCTAR Core Services at start of business on Monday morning, and had largely been cleared by 9:15 am.
We understand that this did not impact on existing instances.
