Advice: QRIScloud NeCTAR outage - 2017-04-24 - 16:00


We are currently experiencing a problem with the MariaDB database cluster that holds the OpenStack management information for the NeCTAR QRIScloud availability zone.  This means that NeCTAR Dashboard operations (and equivalent CLI operation) for QRIScloud resources are currently going to fail.  This includes resources in the QRIScloud-HA cluster.

  • You are advised not to attempt to launch or reboot QRIScloud instances, or do other OpenStack management operations for any QRIScloud resources during the outage.
  • Access to existing (running) NeCTAR instances and volumes should not be affected. 
  • Access to NeCTAR services for other availability zones should not be affected.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this unexpected outage.

UPDATE - 16:25 - The problem has now been resolved.
