As part of the current round of NeCTAR OpenStack upgrades, instances in QRIScloud that make use of floating IP addresses will experience a brief outage some time between 9:30 and 10:30 on Friday morning while the NeCTAR Core Services team switch over the Midonet network routing services.
We anticipate a network outage of 5 to 10 seconds only for instances that rely on Neutron floating IP addresses and Neutron private networks. If the cut over doesn't go smoothly, the network outage could be a few minutes while the problem is diagnosed and / or the services are rolled back.
This will only affect the handful number of tenants who have been granted (and are using) floating-ip quotas in QRIScloud.
